As everyone heard, Steve Jobs died on Thuesday. We’ve just lost someone who has changed our lives since 20 years ! Imagine what would be your life without an IPhone, an Ipod, a Macbook or an IPad ? During this week everybody has sent messages via all social networks (a funny example : ISad).
Because of this bad news, people are asking themselves a lot of questions about Apple’s future without Steve Jobs.
Can Apple survive without Steve Jobs … ?
Of course we could have talked about this question earlier when Steve Jobs left Apple in August but it is only now that people realise that Jobs is not here anymore to give his ideas. The new CEO, Tim Cook, has been advised by Jobs before his retirement about how to continue Apple’s path towards success.
After reading all those articles dealing with Apple’s future, it seems that people are not too worried about Apple’s finance. Since January 2011 when Jobs was sick, investors and consumers remained confident in the brand and continued to buy its products.
The illness of Steve Jobs was annouced in 2004 and nobody was worried. Apple shares’ have marched higher since this date. However in August when Jobs said that he was too sick to continue and that Tim Cook was the new CEO, the stock had little changes as well as this week because of Steve Jobs’ death.
On october 4th, the price of the shares was about 374$ and on October 5th, when Steve Jobs’ death was annouced, the price of the shares was around 355$. But this low pick didn’t last long : the shares were at the same price as two days before on october 6th.
I should have talked today about the new IPhone, the IPhone 4S that Tim Cook’s presented one day before Job’s death but this was too important not to talk about it.
So I will soon post my new article about the new IPhone, when it will be delivered, how many IPhone have already been ordered and how much money will Apple make when it will come out !
Have a good night !
PS : As I am French, I am sure that I make a lot of mistakes so sorry for that !
