Apple has sold 4 million iPhone 4S in only one weekend !

I hope that everyone has read one of the numerous articles that have been published in virtually all the newspapers and magazines. If you want just to follow Steve Jobs’ live in pictures, look at this link: http://www.newsobserver.com/2011/10/05/1543305/tech-junkie-steve-jobs-legacy.html.
So now let’s talk about the new IPhone that Tim Cook presented last week. It was a surprise to see that he was presenting only a new version of the IPhone 4 and not an IPhone 5 like everybody expected. However it seems that this new IPhone is much better that the older one, that is to say that the quality of the camera is better and the battery will last longer.
The IPhone 4S ( It looks like the IPhone 4)
As the new IPhone has disappointed everyone, it wasn’t believed that the sales would be good. However, think long and hard before speaking, you might have to eat your words. The numbers show a whole different thing. The new IPhone has broken records! Apple sold 1 million IPhone 4S in its first 24 hours of availability, breaking the previous record for pre-order sales of 600,000 units for Apple’s iPhone. Since the pre-ordered was opened, Apple just announced that they sold 4 millions IPhone 4S! (4 million phones means that Apple sold more than 925 phones an hour, or more than 15 per second…)
After Steve Jobs’ death, the big orders for the iPhone 4S have come as a welcome relief for Apple.

Even if Apple broke records with their sales and made a $6.62 billion in profit, Apple's quarterly results disappointed Wall Street for the first time in a decade, mainly because investors expected a lot more people to buy its IPhone 4.

  1. I think that question here is "what will come next"? and will it be as futuristic as the Ipod back in 2001. It seems that followers expect Apple to develop revoluntionary products every time. Can they maintain these high hopes? and will the death of Steve Job downgrade the company?
